by the Korea Arts Management Service - What is Korean pop art? This
session investigates Korean and American pop art scene by bringing
foremost Korean and American pop artists from different contexts
together. This discussion curiously considers how their work might
different or relate, each offering their unique perspective on producing
and exhibiting artwork. Attendees get a chance to meet both Korea’s and
America’s foremost artists.

Tanya Traykovski, the founder of Living International Art
Consulting, has a strong background in art history. As an art advisor, she has
over 10 years of experience in identifying emerging artists who have gone on to
achieve widespread market, critical and curatorial recognition. She also has
expertise in sourcing and purchasing undervalued European Modern and Post-war
artworks on behalf of individuals and corporations.
Tanya provides educational programs for the best
international art fairs. In addition to leading group tours herself, she
manages a group of artist and art historian guides.
Tanya holds an A.B. in Art History from Duke University, an
M.A. in Modern and Contemporary Art History from Christie's Education, and an
M.B.A. from Bocconi University, Milan.
Joyce Siegel works with not-for-profit arts organizations in
New York City and is also a working artist with a studio in Long Island City in
Queens. She teaches art history to 3rd and 4th graders in New York City public
schools and takes students on tours of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Joyce
curates art exhibitions for La Guardia Community College and The Fountain House
Gallery where she is developing an arts business program.
Joyce also gives art tours in Chelsea to
Joyce graduated from The Wharton School at The University of
Pennsylvania. She was a member of the Board of Directors at Art In General for
over six years and currently serves on the Board of The Drawing Center. Siegel
has held artist residencies at Yaddo and the Vermont Studio School.
Maria Estrany-y-Gendre has been a collector and student of
the Arts for the past fifteen years.
is Argentine by birth and Spanish by heritage. She was awarded two Certificates
from Christie’s Education including one in Collecting Contemporary Art and the
second in Modern and Contemporary Art and is finishing the Master's program in
Modern & Contemporary Art and the Markets there as well. She has lived on
four continents having resided in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Tokyo, Japan;
London, England and New York, US and speaks five languages.
In addition to her Art Studies, Maria represents Centro
Cultural Borges, a major art venue in Buenos Aires; has run VIP relations for
PINTA NY, the foremost Latin American art fair in North America, and represents
a variety of artists in the United States.
Ashley Yarchin is a South Florida native now living in Dallas, Tx. Launched in
2014, her firm provides professional curatorial and design expertise to
private and corporate collectors across the country. Ashley’s passion and practice are based on an appreciation – both aesthetic and academic – for artful objects and their impact on the places in which we live and work. Ashley earned a master’s degree in modern and contemporary art and its markets from Christie’s Education in New York City. Simultaneously, she studied at the New
York School of Interior Design. She also holds a master’s degree from the
Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in Chicago as well as a
bachelor’s degree in comparative arts from Washington University in St. Louis. Ashley’s
prior professional experience comes from an accomplished career in television
news – an industry in which she received two Emmy awards and more than a dozen
national and international accolades for her work as a reporter and anchor.
Alejandra Esayag received her B.A. in Art History from the University of Miami and her M.A. from Christie’s Education New York. Esayag is the former Assistant Director of Arevalo Gallery and KaBe Contemporary. Most recently, she was the head producer of the EFG-ArtNexus Latin America Art Award. Alejandra is now the Co-Director of Culturadora, an educational and curatorial platform aimed at activating a new generation of art and culture lovers. While heading Culturadora, Esayag has produced and curated several exhibitions and special projects such as: “The Everywhere Exotic” a special exhibition presented in the curated section of Art Miami New York 2015, “Conceived Without Sin” presented at Radiator Arts in Long Island City, and ARTECHONY: “A Remix of Abundance, Contructing Sustainability”.
